"Humanity is The religion "

What's my religion.......a Hindu ....by birth only !!
This question has been bothering me a lot......and lot many times. Why should I be confined to a particular religion only. I hate primarily everything.......which defines a boundary for me. Yes I am a born hindu only....but not in my thoughts & likings n dislikings . Then who am I...( religiously)?

Well there can not be( actually there isn't any ) a perfect religion which can satisfy me and answer all my questions. I like certain things in muslim religion , also certain good things of christianity & a lot of budhhism...
However this way it will be very difficult for me to be defined...which religion I belong to, isn't it ?

In Hindu mythology ...it has been very correctly mentioned that there is no religion greater than Humanity !!
Humanity means a global perspective for all your needs & wants and it also means that you need to respect
and love all the religions equally. Learn some good points from every religion possible and be a good human being first.

I love the way christians and muslims bury their dead ones....atleast you know the final resting place of your loved ones. You can go there and feel their soul.....and get the much needed peace. However in Hindu religion all the dead bodies are exhumed to fire....which I find very barbaric & uncivilized. There are so much
of caste and class differentiation amongst the Hindu religion....that everything associated with it ...makes me irritated & sad. A person should be respected for what he has contributed towards making the society a better livable place . This planet of ours will be a much better place to live in....if we all try to be a good humanatarian first !!

Self-Exploration !!

It happens with most of us....we are not in our best of moods, all the time. Inspite of having everything possible,we still crave for something more. It becomes all the more complicated , if we are asked what's is it,
i.e. bothering us !! We tend to give a blank expression or just say ...nothing,  everything is fine !! Though deep
within we know the fact that we are lying at that particular moment . Why does it happen & why so regularly...
it's not an easy explanation and it needs a rather thorough analysis.

The point to ponder is that how many of us are blessed with a decent analytical mind & how much are we ready to do the self-analysis. A person's needs & wants keep on changing during the different path of growing up.
However the basic interests & hobbies of our childhood remains as alive as possible within each one of us.
Due to various reasons ( mostly stupid ones....) , we tend to ignore our own likings & tend to venture out to
something else which we eventually don't like much. If we used to like music so much....who is stopping us from attending a good concert.....( be it Ghulam Ali's , Jaggit Singh's , jazz , country music, Rock-shows etc...) . Whether it's
official commitments or private ( like kid's exam , wife not willing to come...) compulsions , if we seriously want to go out ....then 3 hours are not that long a period that one can not manage. If one is a sporty person then it makes sense to indulge in some sporting activity in either week-ends or during evening hours. One can select the game according to convenience & locations like Badminton/ tennis/ table tennis/ swimming / Golf etc... If we do it on a regular basis then eventually it will make our body fitter & our mind will get a much needed oxygenated fresh air .
We should remember a basic fact that there is a child within each adult one of us....which longs to play ! Therefore don't let him die an unnatural death...but try to discover him & pamper him to be alive within
us ...as long as possible.

A Forum for making a better tommorow !

It was pending & bothering me since long ....to share a platform with
like minded matured people. As the title of my blog suggests , Kabir the poet
& Premchand the writer are two of my greatest mentors. It gives me courage
& enlightens my sometimes misty & clouded ideas and questions.
Kabir.....what a tragedy ! The man should have lived in today's world to show our incompetent
leaders the right way of being a leader. Even after 60 years of independence, India is still
struggling with the rightist extremism of being a Hindu & a Muslim . As if THE GOD made them
first a Hindu / Muslim and then gave them a body / mind/ life etc...
Religion is a personal choice & should be respected & encouraged to pursue whatever the faith
they believe into. If we fail to acknowledge the basic fact of being an Indian first & then the respective religions / regions etc... it would be extremely difficult to make an all round development.
The irony is that both the educated & uneducated are equally to be blamed for being obsessive
about their religion. We need a Modern Day Kabir to preach them & show them a way to live
& respect every other religions equally. We need to understand that by offering daily puja/ namaz ...we can not qualify to be a religious person. It's in the teachings of all the religions that
one should be compassionate / tolerant & helpful towards others....then only we can be termed as a truly religious person !!
Premchand was born much ahead of his time. His simple writings are really deceptive....they have much deeper meanings...if we try to analyse his works. My favourite being "Panch Parmeshwar ".....Wow ! a great work & an immortal classic ( I believe it seriously).
The above story has defined friendship in such a simple way " Unke toh sirf Vichar hi milte the ( Only their thinkings were similar )",referring to Jumman Sheikh & Algu Chaudhary , rest other things were quite mismatched..like religion/ food habits/ One being rich & other not so etc..
If we try to define friendship even today...then what really matters is the simple fact...that our thinkings should be similar , is n't it ? Wow...Premchand defined (friendship) it so correctly and yet so innocently.....amazing person !!
The other life defining quote of the above story is " Uttardayitva Ka Gyan Aksar marg Mein Path Pradarshak Ka Kam Karta Hai " ( Sense of responsibility often leads us to the right path to follow). You can try putting this equation into any problems/ any situations...and more often than not...it will lead you to solve the problem.
If only...our so called leaders have had tried to understand & inculcate the teachings of Kabir & Premchand, then this country of ours could have become a paradise on this planet !!
